  1. Hopefully nobody..Their is no rule that states you must have a captain (dont think so anyways). They can have 3 A's instead.

There is nobody on the team that is Captain material and considering they are trying to rebuid, they should wait until they get a Franchise player.

  2. I would have thought Tucker if he was still here, but since he's gone I have no idea. Maybe Kaberle. With no real leaders it's going to be a tough year to be a Leaf fan. I really don't see Sundin coming back at this point, but you never know Leafs have baffled folks before.

None of the younger guys we have a captain material and you can't pin it on someone you're trying to run out of town, IE: McCabe, Blake, etc.

  3. McCabe maybe... or Hal Gill

  4. Ponikarovsky

  5. Who cares.  Leafs suck and always will.

  6. Right now, it looks like Thomas Kaberle is the best choice. He is our most consistent defenseman, and has been with the team long enough to know how things work. Its also not likely he will be traded to another team anytime He has already worn the "A" for awhile, so is a natural choice to get the promotion. Alex Steen or Matt Stajan might make good choices in the future, but for now they are too young, and lack Kaberle's experience. My money would be on him.

  7. Eventually, it will be Matty Stajan for sure. They're grooming him for the captaincy. They could rush him into it this year, but probably they'll have 3 A's this season.

  8. Sundin had said that he wouldnt be C if he came back. He said it was time to pass the torch even if he came back because they are rebuilding. thats one of the reasons I dont think he will come back to Toronto.

  9. Dankoff was having a hard time today on Leaf's Lunch with this question. I think Fletcher flippantly answered his question on the subject with a maybe Pavel Kubina as a possibility.

The answer will be answered in the near future. Also operating without a Captain is not new for the Leafs. They did without one from 1986 to 1989 between Vaive and Ramage.

The consesus seems to be to go without one or a rotating captaincy between Blake, Kaberle, Stajan, and Steen.

If Kubina stays there is a big chance of him being Captain if not him i would definatley go with Kaberle

  11. Captain Kaberle has a nice ring to it.  With McCabe and Stajan as alternates.
