Russia and its mafia

China and its smog

or possibly even India - they seem to be leading the way on the technology front at the moment unless they blow themselves up squabbling with Pakistan and neighbouring countries etc.,

I didn't mention here, the UK, because we can't even get our transport system to work and are frightened to death of spending any money. Our empire's been and gone but which one of these other countries I've mentioned - who is going to be Top Dog one day - who is going to pick up the proverbial ball that Russia seems to have dropped or will they once again be America's nemesis?

China and its smog - Too many people with too little resources. The middle class in China still live in situations that would be considered abject poverty in Europe or US

or possibly even India - Thats a joke. Name one technological innovation that came out of India  in the last decade? Yeah right - they are smart.

Russia and its mafia - they have the best chance if they dont blow it.

Near future:

China....though Russia will always rule from underground somehow someway and India will maintain the religious dogma.

US will get left behind (has gotten left behind) and will self destruct.

Far far far future:

The evolutionary cycle is not an earthly creation its much bigger.  The universe's evolutionary cycle will eliminate life on earth and move a 'boom' to another place in space in time and begin again.  Energy can not be created or destroyed, not just on earth but period....so when this planet's energy implodes a new life force will emerge out there somewhere.

I don't believe anyone will come out on top, because if we all don't learn to get along with each other, and set the common goal of survival of the human race, we will all go under and succumb to failure. We are fastly outgrowing our boundaries, using our natural resources, and still have too many racial issues. Stereotypes rule many of our minds, when real critical issues should be foremost. I would like to see more concentration on cooperation rather than competition.

The sleeping dragon is now waking up to find the greed of others pouring into it's borders. It has always been thought  by those without arrogance, that china would one day be the (in your words) "Top Dog"

The Chinese Gov has strict polices and will continue to open and close it's borders at will.  Russia has no Gov and the U.S. needs to take back their Gov from the lawyers and big business before its to late but, that wont happen.
