  1. God knows - does anyone want the job?

  2. pat Howard is Favourate.

He is the former Leicester coach

  3. not sure

  4. Right now Declan Kidney, the Munster coach is the favourite for the job. He has proven that he can achieve success and also probably wouldn't be as expensive as a foreign coach.

However, due to his stint in Leinster where he left after one season to return to Munster, there are some senior players like O' Driscoll and Horgan who aren't exactly on great terms with him. This could affect his chances of the job but he does deserve his chance.

I hope he doesn't go for two reasons:

    1. I want him to stay at Munster because he's doing great with us.

    2. I think the Ireland job needs to go to someone completely fresh that has had no experience with the players and so there are no loyalties to under performing players.

  5. kidney is favourite.... for obvious reasons... the only irish coach to win anything in years and a proven track record of beating big european clubs sides on a regular basis

to bring in a foreign coach ahead of kidney would be a big slap in the face to the whole irish set up....

that said the irfu has a long history of giant c**k ups and the selection of the next ireland coach could well be another
