Who is going to win the 2009 Stanley Cup?

The Penguins!   They almost made it this year.

The Blackhawks, especially if they sign a top winger to pair with Lang and Havlat. Let's say that the Hawks bring in Huselius or Hossa and get a solid defenseman like Jason Smith, Paul Mara, Marik Malak, Aaron Ward, or Dmitri Kalinin(I don't think they'll get Campbell).

Who would you put your top D pairing up against: Huselius or Hossa/Lang/Havlat or Sharp/Toews/Kane?

If they can resign Jason Williams and Ladd, they'll have an amazing third line of Byfuglien/J.Williams/Ladd.

The fourth line would be (more than likely) Eager/C.Adams/Burish

The other forwards that have that will be in Rockford are Skille, Brouwer, Versteeg, Kontiola, Bowland, and Dowell. Akim Aliu and Bill Sweatt might be available to. I want to see if Sweatt is as fast as he is reported to be.

On defense they have Keith (the most underrated player in the league), Seabrook, Wisniewski, Sopel, Hendry, and if they sign a solid defenseman, they'll have a solid defensive corps. Plus they have Barker, Richmond, and Hjarlmalsson in Rockford.

In net they have Khabibulin and Crawford. Khabibulin started to look really good as the season went on. Crawford is the future goalie of the team. He is a very good goalie.

Im going to be a homer and say the San Jose Sharks. Realistically it is way to early to be thinking about who will win the 2008-2009 stanley cup. The Red Wings won 2 hours ago and my hats still off to them

I want to say Sharks, but they have play-off troubles. I think I'll go with the Pens. I could also see the three underdogs Carolina, Washington, and Tampa Bay. I'll be rooting for you guys.
