it realy could be anyone this year. France are probably the best team in the Northern hemisphere but they disapointed in the world cup and no one knows how their new players and new coach will perform.

Ireland probably had their best chance in years to win it last year. They just missed out and have been on the decline since, although they are very difficult to beat in Croke park.

England had a very poor six nations last year but managed to grind out a couple of good wins against Australia and France in the world cup so they should improve this year.

Italy improve every year and although they're not strong enough to win the competition, I can see them winning a couple of games.

Scotland have been on the way down for many years now but their two club teams; Glasgow and Edinburgh, are both having very good season so we may see a better tournament from them.

It's impossible to predict what Wales will do, they may win the Grand Slam, they may get whitewashed, there's no way of telling.

I'm going for;

France

England

Ireland

Wales

Italy

Scotland

but don't take my word for it, I wouldn't be suprised however they finish.

This year it is a very open campaign with a few teams that could win it and as the 6N has taught us in the past, it it's full of surprises!

Of course I would love to say Wales, and they do have a chance, England have a habit of winning even when they play cr@p, but I think the real contenders have to be France!

Just hope that all games will be entertaining and some teams do not revert to kicking throughout!

Realistically too tight to call. England are favourites followed by France but England have under performed since winning it in 2003 their world cup year.

Can they continue the form they had in the 2007 world cup, we'll have to wait and see.

Both Ireland and France will be stinging from very poor world cup performances and have something to prove. The French are a very new look team, so in theory the massively talented but underperforming Irish should be up there.

Scotland and Italy are both on the up and playing improved rugby. The battle for the wooden spoon will be interesting this year also. Scotland will not want it again.

I want England to win but if not I would like it to go to Ireland, it is a shame that such a talent strewn team has no silverware to show for it.
