Who is immigrating into England?

I saw a couple questions or answers or something about people immigrating into England, who? Isnt it an island, who would be immigrating there?

A person can immigrate to an island.

Its a country and loads of eastern European people are coming into the country as immigrants. Mostly polish, Lithuanian etc.
