The question is what is "athletic"? It is open to interpretation. Larry Bird will argue that he was highly athletic but most don't consider him to be so.

Stoudemire is the faster of the two while Howard is stronger. They both jump high but Amare seems to jump a bit higher IMO because he's lighter and seems to get off the floor faster but Dwight seems to put more punishment on the rim.

The bottom line is their games are too different to compare. If Amare were 30lbs heavier it would be an easier call to make.
