  1. This means you think they have no experience in life.  Only their experience in public office counts?  With that restriction I guess you do.  So what have you done with your extensive experience.  Obama got to the senate.  Palin is running the largest state of the union making Major Oil companies pay their dues.  So since your experience is so much greater, what have you done?  Maybe we should vote for you.

  2. Palin

    You

    Obama

  3. you

  4. Palin -- She has actually governed something.

Plus William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright are not to be found in her rolodex.

  5. Obama.  Palin is a newbie.

  6. Obama.

He has been many things from the President of the Harvard Law Review to a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. That means he has experience as a legal scholar. He also has experience examining the foreign policy of the United States of America.

Sarah Palin has a minor in Political Science, which means she took around 5 courses as an undergraduate at the University of Idaho. Her supporters claim that the fact that Alaska neighbors Russia and Canada means that she has foreign policy experience. This in no way approaches the experience of being on the Foreign Relations Committee. Before she was the governor of a state whose population is less than many counties, she was the mayor of Wasilla AK, population 5,000-9,000. Despite the tiny size of this town, Mayor Palin left the town with a debt of $20 million.

If you accept the argument of her supporters, then you must also accept that Barack Obama has business experience. You see, he is from Illinois, which is near Michigan. The headquarters of General Motors is in Detroit, therefore Barack Obama is qualified to be the CEO of GM.

Also, Barack Obama is qualified to be a quarterback. See, he served in Illinois, where the Chicago Bears play. Due to his proximity to the Bears, he has the experience necessary to play in the NFL.

So, unless you accept such a silly argument, I think it's clear that Barack Obama wins. Hands down.

Now some people will say, "but what matters is 'executive' experience." Well, if that is true, they must believe that their ticket is actually upside-down. You see, Sarah Palin has more executive experience than John McCain, Joe Biden AND Barack Obama. If "executive" experience matters, she's more qualified than her own running mate!

  7. Palin has ten years of administrative experience.  That is ten years more than the combined total of both people on the Obama/HairPlugGuy ticket.  Obama accomplished nothing as a community agitator.  He made no contributions to legal knowledge on the faculty of the University of Chicago Law School.  He did no work in the Illinois State Senate (His mentor forced other senators to put Obama's name on legislation, but Obama did no work on them).  And Obama never once convened his foreign policy sub-committee in the U.S. Senate.  Obama is as close to an empty suit as one can conceivably get.

  8. To the youngest voting group which will come out in a majority this November, Obama looks experienced, because he sounds experienced. But, Palin actually has extraordinary leadership potential by hard work as opposed to rhetoric.

In our society of Generation X voters, it really doesn't matter in terms of electability. I, like most people born between 1965-1981 are not easily impressed by credential over long years. We are very current and motivated by "what have you done for me lately." We a a loyal, idealistic generation. That's why Obama is where he is. The things he has done have given him a "foot in the door," to the presidency. Generation Y and so on are very, very self absorbed and won't trust anybody for long. So they will vote for Obama because "we" say he's cool. But, soon afterward they won't like him and will move on to other things.
