Who is more of a pure point guard? steve nash or chris paul?

i personally think steve nash is the definition of a pure point guard. he passes excellent, is a good shooter, good free throw shooter, clutch. aside from his defense his game is perfect.

Chris paul doesnt seem like a pure point guard to me because he scores too much. he is not a pass first kind of guy.

but thats just my opinion what do you guys think?

a pure point guard, nash is the definition.

i prefer paul over nash though, because of his ability to take on the scoring load and score when he needs to, and paul is a much better defender.

paul also doesnt turn the ball over much, but thats not a knock on nash, because nash turns the ball over do to risking a lot of passes trying to thread the needle, and kidd used to do that a lot also.

paul is a pss first point guard, but he needs to score for the hornets because thats where he breaks defenses down.  when he starts penetrating in and getting easy looks it breaks the defense down, allowing him to dish the ball for easy buckets.

you don't get 20 assists in a game if your not a pass first player and u don't lead the league in assits

CP3 is just as good a passer if not better than Nash

Defense is not important for a PG???

oh yea people like Deron Williams, Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups dont need to be defended

I think CP3 is everything steve is and more (better defender and younger)
