I think Otsuka Ai. It helps that "Planetarium" was the theme song to Hana Yori Dango, a popular j-drama in Japan. I can't say for sure since I do not live there, though.

That's a pretty close race. I think they're about them same, but I've been hearing more about YUI lately.

That is hard I like them both so much and have all of their Cd's and singles. I would say Yui though.
