  1. I think that NFL IS the ruffest

  2. That's a tough one I think.

I think it partly depends on how big the rivalry is at the time with the two teams that are playing each other.  Some of the AFC teams used to be pretty rough like the Steelers and I remember the Chargers getting pretty rough.  But right now even though the AFC is probably the stronger of the two conferences I think the NFC plays a little rougher.  I think also that teams that are more hungry for a win will play a little rougher to get that win.

  3. Indianapolis, Pittsgurgh, New England, San Diego, Baltimore, Denver, Cincinnati....Then there's the only division to have all teams .500 or over last year, AFC South. The AFC has the highest scoring offenses and the hardest hitting defenses. Add Bret Favre to NY Jets and that new guy down in Miami (Bill Parcells) and the AFC is looking even stronger

  4. The AFC has been harder to get a play-off spot in the past few years. But traditionally it has always been the NFC with the Cowboys, Packers, Buccaneers (defense). Also the AFC has all the sucky teams like the dolphins, raiders, and texans.

  5. the toughest is AFC. alot more competitive teams in the AFC than the NFC

  6. Traditionally it's been the NFC but over the last few seasons I'd have to give it to the AFC.

  7. when you say rougher?..do you mean the style of play?

    i would say the NFC

  8. Just look at all the superbowl winners in the past 10 years. AFC dominates the NFC.

  9. AFC!

There are much stronger teams in this conference. It is would be touch to find NFC teams that are anywhere better on paper than the Chargers, Patriots, Colts, and Jaguars-just for starters.

  10. afc all the way

  11. "more rougher" wtf?

Anyway, they are both equally difficult.  How many times has a team repeated as conference champion in the past several years...?

    Only NE in 03-04.

  12. It varies over time.  Right now a 10-6 record may not get you into the AFC playoffs but 9-7 may be enough for the NFC.

In the '80s the AFC was the junior conference.

    It'll change back.

For all the blind homers who said NFC,

He did not ask what conference your favorite team is in.

  13. instead of nfl

    didnt u mean NFC

the AFC has always been better
