Who is more violent as a whole, Christians or Muslims?

I'm talking about now, not historically. I don't think most anyone could argue the Crusades, Inquisition, the holocausts, or the mass migration to America puts Christians way ahead of Muslims historically.

It is a silly question. No religion is violent, they are only abstract concepts. People are violent and is is them that cause pain and suffering by their deluded views.

In terms of numbers, in history Christains are responsible for more deaths and wars as all other religions combined. Fact.

Historically it's a toss up.  Contrary to what Fireball says, these people kill BECAUSE of their beliefs.   Just as "god" did so many times in the holey bible, and just as HE INSTRUCTS HIS FOLLOWERS TO DO.

Muslims have that strive to spread teachings to follow and as the media showed, many do it by force. Those who don't are arrogant about it. I know a few. With one I chatted over AIM.

Murder of one is as bad as murder of thousands so how could you say who is more violent weather it is a Christian, Muslims, Evolutionist, Atheist, or Satanist. The most violent crimes against another person on a whole is done by individuals that believe there is no God, so "who's" going to punish them is their attitude. The Bible says that man leads man to his own injury. So who's more violent?, anyone that does not have a Bible train conscious. All of the above mentioned beliefs minus the Satan worshipers have good people in them, they are just like the Jews where when they went to take showers(they thought) and lost their lives. That's the way Satan has mankind, just the way Hitler had the Jews. The Bible says that Satan is the God of this system of things, James 4:4 tells us not to be a friend of the world. Man is a violent creature and capable of terrible acts, but a man that tries to live by the two laws of the Bible, "Love the true God Jehovah with your whole heart, mind , & breath, and love your neighbor as yourself, on these two commandments hangs the law of the prophets. Wouldn't it be a better way to spend your time following these two commandments, then spending all this energy trying to downgrade your neighbor? Seems to me you have some violence to get a hold on!

Radicals. In every religion, there are a couple of people who try to pervert the moralistic teachings that they have learned. It is worth generalizing, because you won't get the best answer. Face it: the only problem with Christians and Muslims are those who hate rather than love.

Um.....only the extreemists are violent......and although rare, they unfortunately always end up speaking for the mass majority of us.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say to be violent.in fact is says to "love and pray for your enemies"....but that doesn't mean violence isn't recorded in the Bible.

The Koran says to "Kill your enemies and unbelievers."......but I know a lot of Muslims who don't go around killing people.

Yes, there are a lot of crazy "Christians" who go and bomb abortion clinics.  Yes, some crazy "Muslims" bombed the WTC.

But, where these people TRUE Christians?  I don't think so.  They use the name, and spoil the public's perception of Christianity.

You can't let a minority speak for the majority!  MAN is responsible for violence; you can't blame it on a certain religion.
