  1. Hillary Clinton would have been but there was hype over Obama which is dying out. Hence, it will be McCain or a "dark horse" that comes out of nowhere.

And, you're right it's too involved and complicated.

Decision is by general election in Nov.

A person cannot run for a 3rd term.

  2. Get used to saying "President John McCain".

  3. It isn't going to be Bush because a president can only have 8 years.

It might be Obama because he is democratic and new.

It might be John McCain because he is a war veteran and America is VERY patriotic

  4. McCain!

  5. McCain for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Why do some many people like Mcain? He's exactly like Bush. Just because he's been a P.O.W. doesn't mean he's more capable for the job of president. I guess winning the presidential election only takes being put in a cage and poked with projectiles 50 years earlier. I hope Obama wins it, and he’s black whooo hooo!

  7. McCain.

Contrary to what some other people in the world believe, the US will not let a socialist in office.

This ISN'T the most exciting, it's the most sad.

How we were made to choose between these two buffoons is beyond me.

  8. You must be in a hole in Britain!! This has been the most exciting (and important) political race in the US for decades! It's now between Obama and McCain (Democrat vs Republican) and the elections are in November.

I'd bloody love it if Obama was voted in (that'd be best for us Europeans and the world all round) but who knows what the Americans are gonna do at the poles!? As far as I can tell, it's pretty much 50/50!

  9. OBAMA...

    and

    ONLY OBAMA...

  10. I will vote for Obama,

but it wiil be McCain. Because he is a war veteran.

  11. In the 1950's US amended the constitution so that a president cannot be elected three times. This was in direct rebuke to President Roosevalt who ran four times and was elected four times. Technically Obama could appoint Bill Clinton as his Vice Presidental candidate, and McCain could appoint GW Bush as his VP candidate, but that is obviously not going to happen.

    - Obama has a slight edge in the national polls, but the president is not elected by popular vote. If John McCain can win the vote in all 29 states that voted for GW Bush in both elections (2000 and 2004) he will win the presidency. Out of these states the following six are considered vulnerable to voting democratic. They are usually referred to as "battleground states" or "swing states".

    Ohio

    Nevada

    Colorado

    Florida

    Missouri

    Virginia

    ----------------------------

There is no clear leader. If Obama wins the popular vote and loses the electoral college vote (like Al Gore) the call for a constitutional amendment to change the election procedures will grow considerably louder.

    ----------------------------

In England the prime minister represents the controlling political party. In the United States the presidency is a seperate election. If Obama wins, the democrats will control the Senate, the House, and the Presidency.

  12. bush can no longer run for president as he has already served 2 terms

    thank god

    and i would say obama

    he promises change
