  2. D- greedy people and people living beyond their means.

When you offer loans to those who have no shot of paying them back, you deserve to have that loss go to your accounts not taxpayers, etc...

When you feel a sense of 'entitlement' to home ownership, car or other gadget ownership and don't have a 'pot to pee in', you should not buy those items.

    PERIOD

it's much too complex to assign blame to just one or two entities

if you want something to be angry at, be angry that democrats have prevented us from developing our own natural resources for the last 28 years

oh, and be angry at India and China for working their way out of 3rd world country status and demanding more oil

  4. Slick Willie. He enabled our technology and our jobs to be exported to China and Mexico. Without the middle class, you don't have much of an economy.

  5. e. You!    Being more concerned with blaming someone that trying to do something about it has never accomplished anything.

  6. I`d say C, just because of the fact that congress has forgotten its duty to actually check-and balance the presidency... Bush told lies to the American public(ex: WMD`s) and it was congress` duty to catch him on it and impeach him...

  7. This is a world problem not just an American problem, to be honest all that is happening has been prophesied so we really have no control except to try and make our last days as righteous as possible, the first thing is to vote No for Nobama..

Repent and change your own personal habits.

as those above have said there is no single factor that is to blame, it's just a bear market, soon enough it will turn and those who are responsible with their finances will weather the storm and be fine; those who spend money unwisely will suffer...

  9. The congress---both present and past---they have been in bed with the monied interests for a long while now.

  10. Other

It is a combination of the Bush Administration and the pwoerful economic interests in the US. Dumbya has worked to support and prop up the big money contributors and corporate structures that helped him gain power in a misguided attempt to emulate Ronald Reagan.  The problem is two-fold

First-the economic structure shifted since Reagan and those types of policies no longer work in the same manner, leading to failures unless they are corrected, which they were not.

Second-the corporate structure was more than willing to take the handouts from the Administration, without regard for ANY political constituency, but for the personal constituency of their shareholders.

  11. D. the average Joe who borrowed more than he could afford and now can not pay back the banks who were stupid enough to lend him the money.

Been there done that six years ago.
