As officially recorded by Guinness, it is Bao Xishun at 7 feet 8.95 inches. Leonid Stadnik was the new winner until he refused to be officially measured to prove his claimed height of 8 feet 5 inches. According to growth expert Professor Michael Besser, Stadnik will be named tallest man when the 2008 edition of Guinness Book comes out in 2009 in the UK.
