  1. Sloan never won an nba championship with malone or stockton so I think that rules him out. Phil Jackson has yet to prove that he can win with out jordan or shaq&kobe. Pat Riley on the other hand has been able to win with multiple teams during different eras of basketball and is considered on eof teh best motivators in the game. Also Larry Brown has had success coaching in many different places "college, detroit, philly among others" however I think he is beginning to lose his touch as he ages. You can't discount what Poppovich has accomplished either winning 4 titles. I would say Riley and Pop are the 2 best right now.

  2. JACKSON JACKSON JACKSON

  3. Bryon Scott

  4. Sloan or Popavich are my picks a lot of people are prolly going to say phil jackson but everywhere he goes he has a player like Kobe and Shaq, Michael Jordan and Pippen.....I could win 7 ships with them but Sloan and Popavich know how to manage a game and I think are Underrated

  5. Doc Rivers, Nate McMillan, Jerry Sloan.

  6. who ever says Doc Rivers needs to shoot themselves..he had losing records before his bosses got him KG and Ray Allen...I say Don Nelson or Popovich are in the running...think about it..Nelson aint dripping wit ringz but he made a loser Mavericks team into one of the elite in the Western Conf. and is doing the same with Golden State..and he did it with out big name players..yea he had Nowitzki in Dallas but he developed him into the great player he is..i wud love to see phil jakson inherit a losing team and do what popovich n nelson hav done..

if larry brown does good this year then him too...

  7. Popovich.

  8. Nate Mcmillan, look at this year he took the youngest team in the league and made them playoff contenders, who knows what he can do in the long run.

  9. Coach Pop and P.J.

  10. Popovich would be my number one choice.  He is consistently in the running for coach of the year and the Spurs are always near the top of the standings.  I will also say that Phil Jackson is close to being the best.  While some/most will say that he always had Jordan, Kobe, or Shaq most coaches who win titles have a star player.  Even Riley had Magic, Kareem, Wade, Shaq.  So while Jackson has always had the talent, he has had to manage the egos that come with that talent and that alone says something for his coaching abilities.

  11. Phil Jackson he has as many Rings as does Red Auerbach.

  12. Gregg Popovich, he made the San Antonio Spurs a travesty to a dynasty. When Tim Duncan was selected as their first pick, the Spurs want to trade him to the Seattle but Gregg knows that Duncan is not worth trading. After that, Gregg had an intimate relationship to Duncan (sort of a father-son), he teach Duncan the basics, the essence, the fundamentals and everything climb the way to the top.

Popovich also convince the Spurs staff to pick Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, the criticism began after that.

Now, the pick of the two was considered to be the greatest heists in draft pick in NBA history.

He is maybe the most underrated coach ever.
