Who "should" be the 44th US president?  Barack.

Who "will" be the 44th US president?  Not a black guy or a woman.

Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms and is counted chronologically as both the 22nd and the 24th president.

because of this the 44th president wont be the next one coming up but the one after .

McCain or Obama will really only be the 43rd..
