Cost a fortune? Karl Rove must be your accountant. All the hotel rooms, booze, restaurants, etc will MAKE a fortune for the people od Denver, to say nothing of taxes collected.

We are starting out by tapping them for millions for the Convention, and then charging some others hundreds of thousands of dollars to sit in the sky boxes at the "Super Bowl Halftime Show, without a Game".
