^i agree with the answer above although i have never heard he was a vegeterian! Apart from maths he was also a great philosopher and used to sit (sometimes even sleep) in a cynic ("the cynic tub")coz it made him feel inspired.

pythagorus was a mathematician who  came up with a famous theorum a^2+b^2 = c^2 on a right angled triangle. He had his own school of mathematics as he  realized early that irrational numbers would  throw greek society into chaos so swore his member to secret.

hE was a bit weird in that he thought beans contained evil, he was a vegetarian and a pacifist.
