  1. The biggest Silly Season surprise of the year is coming up soon.  Not only is Ryan Newman going to Stewart/Haas Racing but Jimmie Johnson is as well!!!  Confidential sources have told me this, knowing that I am good with secrets.  We all know that Tony's new team is merely another one of Rick's so it kind of makes sense.  Mr Hendrick wanted the team to have a better chance to contend for wins and championships right out of the gate.  I am still waiting for word on Jimmie's replacement in the 48 car but the front runners right now are JJ Yeley and Jeremy Mayfield.  They are the bestest drivers available and are sure to appeal to Lowe's execs that are still questioning Rick's bold move.  Remember, you heard it HERE first!

edit:  YW, as always, rainbow dude and #1 Jr fan!

edit #2:  Gordon/Gordon Motorsports?!?!  I love it, LMAO!

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  2. Just to add a little more to the drama here....there was queston on YA a couple of weeks ago asking why Kyle Busch had been seen hanging out at Jimmie Johnson's trailer so much.    Could it be we were seeing a sign of things to come?   Will Jeff and JR be able to step up and keep Hendrick in the top tier of Nascars owner.    Tune in next week to find out.

  3. I think he could end up being the fourth driver at Childress instead of Casey Mears going there.

  4. Joe Gibbs racing would make the most sense to me.

I agree that keselowski will be the replacement.

  5. Is this serious, because if it is, it is the weirdest, dumbest rumor out

    there!!!

  6. It will be Brad Keselowski.

  7. OK!, I'll tell you what I know about this whole deal. Jimmie Johnson is to move to DEI taking Tony Eury with him. Leaving Chad to crew chief for Dale JR. But all of this could just be talk, because it has been reported that Jimmie received internal injuries while horseback riding earlier this week!!! I myself hope that everything works out the way he wants it!

    PEACE!

  8. Hey rAiNbOw !!!!! He's coming to our house when he leaves work !!!!!!! te he he he he. Don't we wish ??????

  9. I heard the same thing as Gigi. I wonder who would drive the #24 then?

  10. since he is signed through 2010 I guess its gonna be Jimmie

  11. no one is, johnson's staying put.

  12. hey i got a ? where did y'all read this at?

  13. that would be the only way tony's team could take off being on top

BUT i also thought johnson's team was half gordons!!?

  14. haha thts funny jimmie johnson aint going anywhere if anything he will sign a lifetime contract with hendrick like jeff gordon

  15. Yes it's true Jimmie will be going to Stewart /Haas and Jamie Mc Murray is going to drive The #24 ,but Jeff is going to be the second driver at Robby Gordon motorsports and they will rename it Gordon/Gordon motorsports,

  16. according to jayski.com it will be Brad Keselowski but nothing is official until the Richmond race. Lets see what the young man can accomplish in that 48 car

  17. After winning gold in the Olympic stock car events, and his third championship, he will be retiring. It has been confirmed that JJ Yeley will be driving the #48 car next year with Chad Knaus as crew chief. However, Lowes is no longer going to be the sponsor. The new sponsor is going to be Old El Paso.

  18. It was reported Thursday that Jimmie Johnson who debuted the #48 machine in 2002, is leaving Hendrick Motorsports.

So far there has been no comment from The Hendrick camp and Jeff Gordon, as nothing is official as of yet.

Jimmie Johnson is a current back to back Sprint Cup champion, with his eyes on three-peating in what is likely his final year with Hendrick Motorsports.

The rumor’s running rapid is that Johnson will be replaced by JR Motorsports Nationwide driver Brad Keselowski. It can’t be Greg Biffle because he has just resigned with Roush. Could there also be a possibility that they are making a spot for Landon Cassill?

Hendrick has not confirmed any reports as to who is replacing Jimmie at this time, or if he will definetely be replaced.

Jayski.com will update with any new information on this developing news.

  19. I heard its another Jimmie Johnson

  20. I didn't hear this at all.  Everyone is speculating on the 4th car situation on all these teams but I don't think anyone is adding a 4th car because in 2010, all teams will be restricted to 3 cars.

  21. You have the reports all wrong. You see Jimmie-the-Johnson will remain at Hendrick Motorsports through 2009 and in 2010 will be offered a ride in a Toyota. It will take approximately 2 years of wins for Toyota  to financially bring down the HMS empire. When it does happen Toyota will buy HMS. If Jimmie still wants a job he will have to drive for Fan Li. Jeff Gordon will retire. Dupont will be reduced to making Crayola Crayons .

  22. jimmie johnson is NOT leavving hendrik motorsports next year. he is signed through 2010 and no source or no news about him leaving.

he is a 2 time champ and defending champ. next years lineup for hendrik is.

24-Jeff Gordon 48-Jimmie Johnson 5-Mark Martin 88-Jr. No brad Kesolwski or anything and btw jeff gordon is not gonna be retiring till well hopefully not until 2015. gordon and johnson have long term contracts and isn't leaving

  23. Wow, I didn't see that one coming!  Thanks for the "secret' info Steevo...I won't tell anyone...LOL.  Silly season just keeps getting sillier.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  24. Why would Jimmie leave Hendrick and he is a two time champion and defending champion, he has never had a bad year with them, has always won and has always fin in the top 5 in the points...that doesnt make sense to me at all, i dont beleive that...We all know Brad will likely replace Casey Mears but Jimmie is not going anywhere, at least not yet

  25. I bet Jeff Gordon is leaving the 24 to drive the 48. He is already 1/2 owner so why not be the driver too.

  26. I think everyone has gone crazy and is in need of some serious stress relief or something!! LOL

  27. I heard it will be brad K but nothing is in stone yet. Not sure where Jimmie will go. I figured he would be at hendrick for a long time. Guess not
