The light was green. And I am making a right turn.

I was waiting for the woman to cross the street.

I was going to go right after her, enough room for me

to turn.

This Bicyclist was riding on the sidewalk and going fast

and I didn't see her coming...

She expected me to see her stupid self...

She saw me turning... she should have yield.

She should know I couldn't see her in my blind spot.

And plus I didn't even hit her. I didn't even move an inch,

I just tapped my brake when I saw her...

And she fell off the bike...

Then she got mad and vandalize my car with her bike.

And she was WRONG, she hit and run... that is against the law and plus she should have not been on the sidewalk...

Sidewalk are for people who are walking or skating and all..

not for Bicyclist...

She didn't have the right of way... She suppose to act

like one of the motorists too.

She should have yield.

So who is wrong... me or her.

  1. you are right....the car driver is right

  2. she is responsible here because you had the green light

bikes operatate under the same traffic rules as cars.  If she had a red light, she should have stopped.

and, even if she wasn't at fault, she would still be responsible for the damage she caused to your car by vandalizing it.

Call the police and report the incident.

  3. it sounds like you are in the right. a very good example of why everyone has to pay attention to what is going on around them.

  4. she is mate...

u gave her fright, thats why she cracked it at u

Ive had problems with cyclists too n Ive sick of them...we have to pay rego, n insurance to drive on the road...cyclists dont n yet we still have to give way to them on the street..

she was in the wrong for riding on the sidewalk cyclists are supposed to be on the road...

  5. You are in the right. It is illegal for a cyclist to ride on the footpath in S.A. They have to be on the road and obey the rules the same as we do.

  6. You are wrong in entering your right turn without shoulder checking.........you should check JUST before you turn, sometimes many shoulder checks are necessary before making any lane chanes or turning.

The cyclist is wrong in damaging your vehicle.

So, you both have a problem......

  7. You were right plain and simple.............

Typical bicycle riders, they never use the rules of the road, they think that they are exempt.........

  8. Yeah, it sounds like she was having a horrible day. You were in the right.
