In my oppinion I think Russia.

my reasons.

Georgia started on ossetia first. because they wanted indipendence from Georgia. If you watch british TV its on the side of georgia but if you watch ch 512 on sky you get the russian side of the story.and why are americans getting involved.

If america started a war with canada and russia joined on the side of canada what would the rest of the world

  1. Georgia is in the wrong, although Russia has (as usual) over reacted.

Georgian president speaks as if it is 1914 (Ossetia is its territory, its land). This land was never Georgian. These people were never Georgian.

How can Georgians celebrate their own independence but deny it to others?

  2. This is completely ridiculous. Georgia want Independence and Russia bombed them. Because of Russia's actions another war in Europe can repeat. Russia already stole part of Poland, they are so greedy!

Edit: After World War II Poland was divided and Russia took part of the east. Poor Poland was invaded for years by  greedy neighbours such as russia.

  3. Both

  4. The president of Georgia is to blame for treating the Ossetians badly.

  5. The answer to your question depends on what you believe.  After the fall of the USSR, Russia was weak.  Russia had very little money and Russia's world-wide influence was diminished.  Today Russia has more economic strength and power than she has had in the past twenty-five years.  Russia is run by a former KGB agent (Putin), who is intent on regaining the dominance held by the former USSR.  The states like Georgia, that were dominated by the USSR became independent after the collapse of the USSR.  Georgia became a democracy and very supportive of the West and western values.  Russia does not want to be surrounded by independent, free democracies and with her new-found wealth and power, is trying to suppress Georgia and any other countries that do not fall into the Russian orbit.  So, if you believe that Russia should be allowed to dominate the region again like the USSR did, then you would conclude, as you have, that Russia is in the right; on the other hand, if you believe in freedom and democracy, as I do, then Georgia is right.  Russia should stop the aggression and recognize the independent, free country that Georgia has become.

  6. Russias fault is that they cant live with the idea that they have lost the control over the world and want to regain it

South Ossetias fault is that they dont get they were used as a weapon to provoke Georgia and involve them into the war.

Georgias fault is that they were trapped. Ossetians fired the first toeards the georgian villages and Georgia fired back to depend their villages - thus gave a good reason to russia to enter Georiga and start a war

EVERYBODYS fault but Who has sharted it! if Russia wasnt backing South Ossetia and separatism, it would be Ok

and y is Russia backing South Ossetia or Abkhazia - Coz they want to regain the world power..

accodring to that logic, Georgia and South Ossetia, even Abhkazia are victims coz of the absurd ambition of Russian Officials and government

  7. AMERICANS ARE ALWAYS WRONG FOR BUTTING IN!!!!!!!! why dont they just f***ing stay where they are, drink coke and eat doughnuts? pricks....

  8. north korea is right.

there will be no war. the world would not put up with a war between russia and USA. russia knows if USA comes in they will have to back out because the EU is with USA.

  9. RUSSIA right Georgia cant just expect to get away with what they done. the USA should stay out of it as well as all other country's DO THEY WANT WW3??? btw im from the UK

  10. Russia.

  11. its americas fault because they told geogia to do it

  12. None of them. They all made mistakes and all of them (also even including the UK, the lapdog of the USA) just follow their own advantage. But it should be pointed out that Georgia started the war by invading South Ossetia.

  13. Why can't there be an independent Georgia and an independent Ossetia? Is that mutually exclusive? If Georgia has the rights to break away from Russia, why not Ossetia from Georgia?

  14. Russia have taken it too far, they are pretty much taking over Georgia. I think something similar happened with Poland in the second world war sparking the war...

  15. Unless you were there when the first shots were fired we will never know who really started it.

Although its a little dubious that Russia had been conducting training excersise for months just over the border in North Ossetia?

Its not uncommon for a country to start something on purpose, and then wade in all guns blazing which the russians were obvviously very well prepared for.

With regard to the US sticking their noses in they have no choice, Georgia has embraced democracy, has applied and been told they will be able to join NATO, and besides the US & UK georgia had the most troops in Iraq, so Bush has to support them.

  16. Georgia !!!

and I don't really care who's right or wrong! Russia should not be so cruel and aggressive against a little country!
