ok, im 14 and make little to no money. maybe $50 a month. I spend most of my money on things for my "office" which contains things I paid for by myself. My brother who is 16 came into my room uninvited and accidently knocked ov my Galilao thernometer which cost $30 and broke it. the fluid, which is kerosine soaked my desk and in the process soaking my $20 brown leather wallet. we had a plan which was documented and signed by both of us stating what was to do about the matter. To resolve the issue and heres what we decided on, we would switch wallets me receiving his wallet ( which was old and used ) and him reciving my now blackened kerosene soaked wallet. he also (part of th deal) agreed to pay me 25$to replace my thermometer. well this morning he told me that since it was an accident he felt he didn't need to pay me the 25$ for the thermometer and told me I was out luck. What should i do and who is right in this matter.

  1. well, i must say you are quite mature to be 14, and i comend you for taking the high road. but i would defintely go to my parents in this matter.

  2. You are right and your brother is 100% wrong.  He had no business in your room.  Your parents should step in and make him buy you a new wallet and a new thermometer.  You were being more than fair to him.  Perhaps that's why he decided to s***w you.
