Who is sick of these reporters with an English accent?

i say all reporters should speak clearly..some times i dont even pay attention to what they sayin cuz im distracted by they effin accent..

I see nothing wrong with people who have a foreign accent; keep in mind, our reporters speak on the air in other countries. Wonder how the other countries feel about our American accent?

English is spoken with different accents all over the world. Even within the same country, the accents would vary between regions, as you would have experienced.

What really matters is not the accent but the content of the report - how relevant, analytical, and deep the report is. As long as the language is clear, differences in usage of words, accent, pronunciation, etc. become secondary. This is the way it works all over the world.

The telecasting company would surely have conducted voice and language tests before they recruit reporters. Some may not be up to the mark, but they have to consider the overall suitability.

In many countries, the American accent is difficult to understand to some people even to those who have a good knowledge of English!
