Before I answer I am going off of true stats.No steroid c**p or enhancers.Every day you have more and more older athletes comming out saying they did steroids,amphedamines and other enhancers.

1.Barry Bonds.Even before the steroids he was the only player to hit 400 home runs and steal 400 bases.Your question was best ever in home runs,rbi,stolen bases,runs,hits.Barry did all unlike guys like Ruth and Mantle.He covered all 5 of these categories.

2.Alex Rodriguez.32 Years old and no record is safe.There are only three players in the history of baseball to hit 40 homers and stael 40 bases.A-ROD,Bonds and Conseco.When A-Rod gets done in 8-10 more years there will be new records that will stand up for the rest of my life time.Like him or not we should appreciate the fact that someone in our life time will be the best ever.Ask this question in 3 years and everybody will answer A-ROD.

3.Williw Mays-He was just like Bonds and could have played longer than he did and could have played sooner if not for all the prejedice ignorance in his era.

4.Rickey Henderson.I know your saying no way what the h**l is he doing in 4th.Well this is a 5 tool player question.We know he could steal bases but he also had impressive power,He was a total package.I think it would have been cool to see him hit 3rd,4th or 5th some time in his career.

5.Babe Ruth.I had to put him in here somwhere.My listing is controversial enough.

I know these don't meet your criteria, but in my opinion
