Jeff White (Melbourne) and Dean Cox (West Coast). Best this season? Hamish McIntosh (North Melbourne). Cult hero of this year? Mark Blake (Geelong).

Obviously it is Dean Cox from West Coast. Not only is he a great ruckman who always finds his team mates, but he can run and carry, he's like a midfielder and ruckman in one. Most ruckman just ruck and go forward, he is an all rounder. That Victorian show on the couch even said that Dean Cox was the most important player in a team and they say he is h**l good.

I would say that Brendan Lade and Hamish Macintosh are the 2 outstanding Ruckman in the comp.As for the best, well I don't know..... maybe Lade.

I think the consensus right now would be Brendon Lade of Port Adelaide. He's an excellent ruckman that can go forward and kick goals. He's a superb kick as well. Dean Cox is good, but any ruckman with Judd, Cousins and Kerr at his feet is going to look good.

If there was one ruckman in the league that I would want to build a team around though it would be Hamish McIntosh. Terrific skills and a fantastic young ruckman. One of the key reasons for the success of the Kangaroos this year.

you'll probably get a lot of people saying dean cox and it would be a fair call as he's a fantastic ruckman,but for me id say Hamish Macintosh who on form would be the best ruckman in 2007 and the key ingredient to North Melbourne's midfield and team having a great season.
