  1. William Wordsworth.

The poem mourns the end of spring, metaphor for childhood, time of innocence. One will never be able to feel nature, to see the grass in full splendor, once one grows up. The philosophical mind ( thinking) replaces feeling.

  2. Splendor in the Grass was written by William Wordsworth. The poem is about the death of a person and the feelings of the mourners.  It was a radiant and bright person that was taken by death, never to be seen again.  That person can't be brought back, but instead of grieving, they will think about good memories.

  3. The movie "Splendor in the Grass" takes its title from a line in the William Wordsworth poem "Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood."
