  8. Good question,  Can't think of any particular.

  9. I live in Australia and I have read and heard we are the biggest polluters per person per year...(per GDP i think)

It is as we have large inefficent coal power stations and we also have a vast landscape and lots of wealth.

Even a bit more so than the Americans

Although we are not nearly the largest polluters in the sense of amount.

China would definatly be the largest Carbon polluters in the world, with power stations opening up every few days, although China has very good renewable energy policy and energy distriubution policies...

I would say even America would pollute the environment in other ways a lot, with a lot more damagem even more so than China

  10. China may have the worst problem now as they do little to catch the ash from coal plants. Some of their plants are being fitted with electrostatic precipitators.

The ash causes dust and respiratory problems.

  11. China is no. 1 India is No. 2, currently..Oddly, both are exempt for the Kyoto Tready.  Now then, the US could go to nuclear power, which is cleaner and more efficient by far-if the environmentalcases would back off.  It's not Chernobyl, and the knowledge of Nuclear power and saftey precautions to stop a melt down has come a long way since the 80s.

  12. China is growing their factories right now to expand way beyond what the United States has ever done. I watch trains haul 25 cars filled of our coal a day, and its going straight to China. They are offering good money for the coal and our money thirsty politicians are feather their beds with it all. Instead, we could be producing gas with it making it cheaper for the time being until the ethanol plants get up and running, though its polluting, its still better than feeding those middle eastern companies that want to turn around and kill us.

Our trees are being cut and hauled to China also, same reason, to build their massive infrastructure.

No politician is green-clean but the ranch that the Pres, goes to often is totally green, all renewable etc... but the mansion that Gore lives in is averaging a 3,000 dollar a month electric bill. Actions speak louder than words.

  13. The United States. This is what I have been saying all along. Our republican leaders today are more concerned with money rather than fellow Americans & the environment.

    Need I say more?

People talk trash about Gore, but he's the only one I have heard that is passionate about trying to do what's best for the people & the environment. It took him being VP & running for president to get the word out. He's been trying for years to warn about global warming & other environmental issues, but no one listened until now.

  14. US ofcourse
