The recent elections in Nueva Ecija have radically changed the political composition of this province. Leadership positions have traditionaly been held by native Tagalogs. However local customs dictate that long periods of economic stagnation trigger a new cycle of elections, and that only non-natives are eligable for an interim position which cannot be held for more than 2  years. Surprisingly, the election drew the interest of several American born candidates and the position of Governor was eventually secured by Laurence Tureaud (known to most as "Mr. T" from the hit series the A-team). The Vice-governorship, which is mostly a symbolic seat, was won by Hilary Clinton. The three additional members of the board include Jared S. Fogle, Larry Fine, and Latrell Sprewell.
