Who is the interloper (trespasser) in the short story "The Interloper"? My friend and I were arguing who it was. If you can help please do. Thank you.

I read it in 9th grade and I think it was the guy that was mentioned second I forgot his name  because it was such a long time ago. They both die in the end that sucks
