  1. jimmy johnson

  2. They didn't call him the Intimadator for nothing. Dale Earnhardt Sr.

  3. Jeff Gordon.  He is the most wins of all active drivers, the most championships of the active drivers, has been in more commercials and ads than everyone else, and has made more money from racing than anyone else.

Tom G - Dale Jr. doesn't have the biggest highlight reel, just the most fans.

  4. Right Now: Kyle Busch

Of Active Drivers: Gordon or Johnson

All time: Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and David Pearson..and I'll throw in Buddy Baker because he was usually winning if he finished.

  5. Jeffy Gordon of course!!!!

  6. Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty, Petty because of his fortuitous win at Daytona with the President in attendance and being one of the only successful owner/operators in business to make the transition to the "modern era", where almost none exist.

Jeff Gordon because for being the first modern poster boy, with mass appeal and the skills the back it up.He made NASCAR a face to the rest of the country that really did not care. It takes a long time to get in these clubs. Given enough time Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart may get in. My racers heart would be on Tony but the business side of me says Jimmie.

  7. Richard Petty.

  8. it may have been before nascar, but a driver from tn. they called the ghost, his first name was paul but i forgot his last name. the old crew chief harry hyde once told me that the ghost had won over 30 races in a row at one point. now thats dominating like mj.

  9. Petty and Dale Sr. put NASCAR on the map, but Gordon brought a new fan fan base to the sport. I think that Gordon has set the new standard for the marketability of the new drivers. Have to admit, after Gordon arrived on the scene  the ability to speak and the looks has changed. Their almost like a PR person or pitch man now for their sponsors.

  10. From the active drivers, Jeff Gordon.

  11. Jeff Gordon

  12. Dale Earnhardt, he has the longest highlight reel.

  13. kyle busch has a long way to go

    maybe dale,sr, or richard petty

  14. My first thought is Wild Thing, but on second thought I'd say Mark Martin, because he retires and then comes back, just like Mike did.

  15. Simple question, simple answer.

    Dale Sr.

  16. michael jordan was known for being able to do things on the basketball court that were thought to be impossible: rowdy busch fits that mold perfectly.  just this year's highlight reel would be enough.

long-term: dale sr, no doubt.  he could also put the car where it didn't belong, drive a car to victory lane that most couldn't drive back to the garage, and straighten a car out that was a crash - it just didn't hit anything.

  17. I can't think of anyone that's seven feet tall, bald and ugly in NASCAR. sorry
