  2. There are compelling arguments for all 4 players, I think player A should win his team is 80-57 with his great stats. Now Player D is compelling too, but the last pitcher to do it was Dennis Eckersley and it takes away from the everyday position players and that is what the CY Young is for. So Player A final answer.

    Pitchers should not win the MVP (Player D).  They have their own award--the Cy Young.
