  1. Here is an interesting site, starting off talking about Andalusia, Alabama, but then it moves on to Andalucia, Spain.

    it says that  Andalucia come from the Arabic al-Andalus, meaning "The Vandals," a Germanic tribe that invaded the Roman empire and settled in  Spain and north Africa.
