  1. Bruce Wayne became Batman and poses as an inferior imitation that he passes off as Bruce Wayne the wealthy playboy who could not and would not do the heroic things Batman does. This is a convention in fiction since the "Scarlet Pimpernel". Comic books took over this idea with a vengeance.

  2. I've answered this question before.  Batman is the true ego, Wayne is an alter ego that is brought forward when necessary to further Batman's goals as a crime fighter.  Think about it - when he's Wayne, he only does exactly what is necessary to get the Wayne responsibilities done and out of the way.  As Batman, he pushes himself further and further into the fight.

  3. Batman, because Bruce Wayne is a sissy and a sissy couldn't become Batman but Batman could pretend he is a sissy.

  4. Bruce Wayne because he is behind both cheracters and invented himself as batman.

  5. Bruce Wayne is intoxicated by fear. This is evident both in the movie and the comics. He cannot be what he wants as a man. He becomes something fearful using his own dread as a means to fight those who prey on the weak. This is the symbol "Batman". His enemies are the same way, using fear to as a means to their goal. Batman uses it show that the power of goodness is something to be feared by evil men; and those, like the Joker, use fear to show that the power of evil is to be feared by good men. Such is the struggle in the movies and comics--will goodness prevail and can it? And, will the Batman or his villains end up being the example that motivates Gotham and it's people? The aesthetic behind such movies and comics is to train yourself to root for good; unfortunately, at the newest movie people are rooting, laughing and generally supporting the Joker. Pretty cynical! Men should want to fight for the good but again a lot of morons have associated with the antagonists in the movie rather than the hero or protagonist (which is Batman). I think, because Bruce Wayne's aspirations to defeat crime and injustice are poured into the symbol Batman, and He, as the 'playboy' billionaire is only a diversion to keep people from discovering what he is really up to, that (if by true man you mean where his will to act lies) then its definitely Batman.

Seriously, who gave me the thumbs down? You have to pretty oblivious to what's being said through the art of the movie to not see that what I've said is spot on.

  6. Chuck Norris!

  7. Bruce Wayne, it is by his own will that batman even exists.

  8. Bruce wayne is the real person because in batman begins his parents die and he wants to protect people from the same fate instead of causeing the same fate.

So he creates an alter ego and makes the batman costume so he can protect others.
