Ablett, Dunstall, Lockett, Carey (though I hate to say it), Hird, Voss, Buckley, Judd, Archer, D.Cox, Silvagni, Scott West and they're just some of the recent ones.

Older players...

Ron Barassi, Ted Whitten, Jack Dyer, John Coleman, Leigh Matthews, Gordon Coventry, Ian Stewart, Bob Skilton, Kevin Barlett, Michael Tuck, Roy Cazaly, Alex Jesalenko

can't think of any more... but Robert Harvey is such a great player couple of brownlows, consistency, longevity, composure - top bloke as well.

plus I've added lots of other names that are great and some that may not have been as great as others.

My father in law who is in his 90's says no doubt Hayden Bunton jnr.

Well, that's an unbiased assessment if ever ive heard one...

I think its pointless, cause there are a number of worthy candidates, and really, it is unfair to compare players across different generations cause of the changes in the game over time...

In my lifetime, 5 of the best i've seen would have to be (in no particular order),

Chris Judd

Wayne Carey

Gary Ablett Snr.

Michael Voss

James Hird

but there's plenty more...how could you not include Robert Harvey, Jason Dunstall, Mark Ricciuto, Nigel Lappin, Stephen Silvagni, Anthony Koutafides, Buckley (uggh Magpie scum...), Dustbag Fletcher, Tony Lockett, Paul Kelly, Scott West, Dean Cox, Cousins, Daniel Kerr, Crawford, etc, etc...
