Who is the best Arsenal defender?

In your opinion, out of Arsenals top four defenders - Clichy, Gallas, Sagna and Toure - who is likely to be the most effective this season and why?

Sagna, Kolo Toure, Gallas, Clichy.......they are all as good as one another. However: I do believe, that, Arsene Wenger, ought, seriously consider, flogging Senderos, to............. Frey Bentos!

Sagna can do everything that is required by a defender and has great crosses and link up play.

ClichY. He is Captain's material and leads the attack foreward despite being a a fullback. He is easily the best in his position

Kolo Toure, he is rock solid at the back.

the best defender arsenal had and let go big sol campell oh yes he was english as well that made a change , but that also might be why arsene wenger let him go he hates english players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd pick Toure.  He is a strong defender and a good player, though I think Sagna is more likely to do the spectacular things that hit the headlines

clichy - best left back in the world

sagna - best right back in the world

toure and gallas are top defenders too but id say clichy

sagna-most consistant.

gallas-heart goes into all of his games.

toure-great and solid, never gets injured.

clichy-talented and very fast.

i  really can't decide they are all good but all we need is for none of them to get injurred and for wenger to play them all.

then they will be invincible!!! lol

The best.... if his mental health is ok, Gallas anytime. He's always at the right place but toure has excellent positional sense which is the FIRST thing about defending. Gallas has been consistent when he's calm but captain is too much for him.

Sagna's the best all round defender. Clichy's a magnificent player, more of an attacking player though. Toure's got great heart and fantastic workrate, but does make mistakes
