I think carling bassett (seguso) was the last player to really have made canada known for its tennis.. she was a top 10 player for the womens tour back in the 80's and reached later rounds at some slams. daniel nestor and maureen drake were also bright prospects back then.. and nestor's still successful in doubles.. frederic niemeyer is/was around for davis cup (?)

right now i think there's three young players that can have a great future: frank dancevic, peter polansky and sharon fichman.. i've seen them play/practice at local tournaments and i think they have great potential.. i think dancevic has already won a big match in the past.. against roddick i think (?) so yeah.. i'd consider these the best players right now for canada
