  1. At the moment...

    1. Lewis Hamilton - he has just been sooo good in the last few races... Monaco and Silverstone must rank as some of the best performances of any driver in the last 5 years... unlucky in Hungary with the puncture... He looks like he's really enjoying himself in the car as well which you don't often see with some drivers...

    2. Felipe Massa - on form purely... he isn't and never will be the driver Lewis is.. nor Kimi or Fernando... but kudos to him for upping his game and trying to eliminate his mistakes...

    3. Fernando Alonso - best all round driver in the field... is really pushing his Renault and must be responsible for their developmental improvement... his radio dialogue is so concise too.. a few ragged drives here and there, but he doesn't have the equipment to match the others atm so credit is due...

    4. Heikki Kovalainen - his recent performances have put him up there with Kubica, who's been a bit off recently... Heikki realised he had a lot of catching up to do with Lewis and has really tried.. showing the pace we expected earlier on...

    5. Robert Kubica - he just keeps on churning out those points... even when the BMW has been all over the shop he's managed to get the best he can out of it... I still think he needs the car to be suited more around him than their targets (the design may have been risky...but the driver still needs to be confident in it.. and I don't always get that from the BMW guys..)

    6. Kimi Raikkonen - desperately disappointing... his best laps all year came when he got of Alonso's wake in Hungary... when he could smell a distant result... not even a win... but he certainly has been poor and distant in his driving... I don't think its retirement stuff... he's just hit some bad form... plus he's not as quick as he was at McLaren anyway so he has less of an advantage now...

  2. I like Massa and Raikkonen but i hate Hamilton cuz hes a pain in the a*s but i must admit hes one of the best

    SCHUMI COME BACK

  3. Here's how I rank the drivers:

    Fernando Alonso

    Robert Kubica

    Felipe Massa

    Heikki Kovalainen

    Kimi Raikkonen

    Lewis Hamilton

  4. Hamilton. he's not a fluke. just a pom.

  5. Alonso is probably the best and most accomplished at this point, but Raikkonen has the most raw talent. He just needs to lay off the partying and take better care of himself. Alonso is currently stuck in a middle-of-the-pack ride, so his talent may be less obvious to anyone who doesn't remember his two WDC's.

  6. Raikkonen, he is just superb, and has a great attitude

  7. Alonso by a mile.

  8. From the list, I'd pick Kimi even if he's having a dip in form now. I think he'll be able to rise again and show us why he is World Champion.

  9. Cor!

Alonso. He's shown his mettle this season and is proving WHY he won his championships to cynics like moi.

  10. I have to say Kimi Raikkonen. Once he comes out of this rutt he will be able to storm back and win the title.

SCHUMI PLEASE COME BACK WE MISS YOU.

  11. Alonso ..  who  do you choose ?

  12. That's surprisingly tough.

    1. Got to be the double champ, Alonso, no one in the field could qualify this years Renault so highly. Still can't believe he didn't win last years championship, even with all of that years problems.

    2. Hammy. A typical quick Brit, very fast, brilliant battler but doesn't know when enough enough, with a leveller head he could be the Jackie Stewart of the 00s.

    3. Kubica. Yes his win at Canada was great but Italy 06 still sticks in my mind, if he had a Ferrari or McLaren this year, he'd be 20pts clear.

    4. And continually falling, the Kimister. If this was 2005, he would be the top. His mesmerising determination in adversity once shown at McLaren has dissolved, shame.

    5. Felipe. Possibly the outright quickest but is extremely erratic and gets put under pressure far too easily.

    6. Hekki. The nicest bloke out of the 6 but that doesn't make a champion. Acquitted himself well in the 2nd half of last year but seems to only have 20 quick laps in a race. The new Barrichello/ Paterse, good no. 2 driver, bad news if hes a team leader.

  13. Alonso definitely..
