  1. Ned Yost. He's done a great job and his team is on fire right now.

  2. If I had to pick the best manager this year....

    American League:

    - Joe Maddon, Tampa Bay Rays

Mike Scioscia can always count on my vote for best manager but I have to give it to his former bench coach, Joe Maddon. He learn a lot from Scioscia when he was with the Angels and three years later, it finally pay off, leading the Rays to possibly their first winning season in franchise history (the season high is 70 Wins in 2004, they currently have 61 Wins in just 103 games). The young nucleus of Evan Longoria, B.J. Upton, and Scott Kazmir are the reason why the Rays are flying high over perennial favorites Boston and the Yankees. Even if they don't make the playoffs, the Rays are enjoying one of their best seasons ever and expect Maddon to get Manager of the Year when it all said and done.

    National League

    - Fredi Gonzalez, Florida Marlins

I'm not a fan of Florida baseball but they have good managers there. Gonzalez is a name no one is talking about but there in the thick of the pennant race for a Marlins team that's not supposed to compete for another year. They always seem to have winning records every couple of years for a team that keeps on rebuilding, which kinds of break the laws of physics among baseball. Like the Rays, the Marlins have a young nucleus to build upon for their franchise and I would throw Gonzalez name on there, even if he doesn't win manager of the year.

  3. AL - Joe Maddon, look at what Tampa Bay was for the past 10 years as compared to right now.

NL - Tony LaRussa - doing a better job with less talent than he had with his world series teams in the past few years.

  4. joe maddon

  5. A.L. Joe Madden- Look at how he's turned that team around.

N.L. Lou Pinella  - Cubs looking better than ever this year.

  6. Joe Maddon.

  7. Mike Scioscia. He didn't have Lackey for a good part early on and his batters have not hit to their full potential yet the Angels have the best record in the majors.

  8. Joe Torre

    Go Blue!!!!!!

His first year in with the Dodgers and is battling for first

  9. Jerry Maunal has done a great job for the mets since he because the manager. If they keep it up and win the east he has to be in serious contention. Also Tony La Russa, the cards just seem to play better then they're predicted to play every year.

  10. Joe Maddon - Devil Rays

    Lou Piniella -  Cubs

Maddon has turned this club in the right direction as many know

Enough couldnt be said about lou turning the last place cubs into divison leaders currently best manager.

  11. Jerry Manuel

  12. terry francona

  13. Tony LaRussa, to do what he has done with the team he has and pitching staff he has, is unbelievable.
