14 ANSWERS

  1. BJ Penn No Doubt

  2. pound for pound-george st pierre-easy answer and bjay wec is not part of ufc-come on man

  3. Im a big fan of BJ Penn and GSP but

    hands down, Anderson Silva!

  4. heath herring , hh

  5. "Spider" Silva , he is a bad man !

  6. Anderson Silva. Dangerous everywhere, has the best striking in the UFC with heavy hands, kicks, knees, and he actually KO'd one guy with an uppercut elbow. Most creative striker, and a legit Black Belt in BJJ. He works on the ground, the only time I've really seen him kind of flustered was the Henderson fight but he finished him too. BJ Penn and GSP are also phenomenonal, but Silva has simply taken MMA to the next level.

Easy cant. didn't Silva already beat Henderson? Just saying, Irvin is definitely not the best in the ufc, and even if he does beat Silva, Silva is still the best pound for pound fighter in the ufc.

  7. GSP or Rampage

  8. FEDOR, sorry i forgot dana white messed this up.

  9. B.J. Penn

  10. 5. Urijah Faber (if you consider WEC as part of UFC)

    4. Rampage Jackson (His Power Bomb KO on Arona is still one of the best)

    3. BJ Penn (When his in shape his practically unbeatable)

    2. GSP (If he cleans up the 170-lb division, beating Fitch, Koscheck, Sanchez definitely be top dog in the UFC)

    1.  Anderson Silva (Hasn't loss in his last 7 fights, his loss to Okami was kinda suspect,  cleaned up the 185-lb division all he needs to do is beat Okami.)

Actually WEC is the sister promotion of UFC both owned and produced by ZUFFA, they just focus more with the lighter weight classes.  I figured since ZUFFA owned WEC that I can add Urijah Faber to my list as one of the best...

The Okami v. Silva fight I kinda felt the ref called it all wrong I didn't believe it was an illegal strike and he shouldn't have gotten DQ'ed

  11. the sandman james irvin wait till he knocks out silva and remember you heard it here first and don't cry later that he went up in weight that's what they said about the axe murderer and cro cop then henderson knocked him out left handed

  12. Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, and BJ Penn are probably the best.

  13. I think Ryoto Machita is coming up fast and if he beats a couple more people he's going to be the best.

The spider seems to have come out of no where.... I don't remember hearing about him like this until he decided to change his weight..

For now I think George st. pierr is #1

  14. Anderson SIlva. People who even mention his "loss" to Okami apparently just look at it on paper and haven't seen the fight. Anderson was the favorite going in and acutally knocked Okami out with an upkick while Okami was posturing up in his guard. The problem was that Okami had a knee on the ground and Silva was DQ'ed.  Silva was kinda of a journeyman at the time and said he was unclear of the rules before going into the fight and didnt know it was an illegal upkick.

Silva is by far the best. He's destroyed the best at 185. He knocks out guys who dont get knocked out, he submits guys who dont get submitted, and he always does it taking very little (if any at all) damage himself. The problem the UFC has with Anderson Silva is that he doesnt engage in exciting wars like Chuck Liddell, SIlva puts down very one-sided beatings every time he goes out. He had to move up just so people will begin to question if he can lose. Right now if you see Anderson Silva fighting at 185, theres no question that he'll win, the only questions is how quickly and by what. People don't pay $45 to see one-sided butt-whoopings, they pay because they want to see/know who won. Silva's move to 205 works out because they'll be able to give him some good fights.
