  1. Johnny Unitus no. 19

  2. farve

  3. Roger "Captain Comeback" Staubach

    (Dallas Cowboy QB 1969-1979)

After his required service in the United States Navy, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, Staubach joined the Dallas Cowboys. He led the club to four Super Bowl appearances, with victories in Super Bowl VI and Super Bowl XII. Staubach was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl VI.

Staubach recorded the highest passer rating in the NFL in 4 different seasons (1971, 1973, 1978, 1979), and led the league with 23 touchdown passes in 1973. He was an All-NFC choice five times and selected to play in six Pro Bowls. In his final NFL season of 1979, Staubach set career highs in completions (267), passing yards (3,586), and touchdown passes (27), with just 11 interceptions.

Overall, he finished his 11 NFL seasons with 1,685 completions for 22,700 yards and 153 touchdowns, with 109 interceptions. He also gained 2,264 rushing yards and scored 21 touchdowns on 410 carries.

  4. Jim Kelly!!!

seriously though he lead his team to 4 straight AFC Championships! how can u put Marino in ur top 10 but not Kelly? it's just not right! it's just not right!

  5. johnny U of the original BALTIMORE COLTS

  6. 1. Joe Montana

    2. Johnny Unitas

    3. Troy Aikman

    4. Tom Brady

    5. Marino

The smarter the better. That's why Bradshaw will never make the list. He had an awesome team. The smart one's can get it done with just about anyone catching the ball.

  7. Marino n farve

  8. I gotta pick Roger Staubach

  9. After watching the NFL for 45+ years here are my Top 5 that I've had the pleasure to watch:

    1) Elway

    2) Marino

    3) Unitas

    4) Montana

    5) Staubach

  10. I'm gonna go with Elway...

  11. Montana

  12. I would have to go with Elway.  The guy took three Bronco teams to the Super Bowl single handed.  Although they lost, it was amazing they went there at all in the 80's as they didn't have much of a team around him.  When he finally got a good O-line and RB, they won two Super Bowls in a row.  Although Montana won more championships and was a smarter QB, Elway's athleticism gives him the edge.  Marino and Moon never won a (NFL) championship so they are disqualified, Unites played in another era which makes it difficult to compare him to your other choices, Favre still makes too many rookie mistakes, and it is too early to tell about Manning.

  13. I'll go with Joe Montana.

  14. steve yong

  15. JOHNNY UNITAS, With todays rules allowing receivers and pass blockers to get away with anything and everything even I could be a pro quarterback. No contest here.

  16. As for pure talent, I think that Dan Marino was the best QB to ever play the game.  Favre has broken many of his most storied records, but he broke them playing significantly more games.  Had Marino kept playing, many of them would likely still be in place.

Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw would be tied for #2 QB behind Marino because of the success that their teams achieved.

  17. Joe Montana.

  18. Manning and Brady have had a few successes but they are not even CLOSE to being in a class of players like Montana,Namath,Marino,Bradshaw and the like. A far as the best, that is arguable at best no matter which great one you choose.

  19. I would have to pick Montana slightly over Bradshaw, but Joe was great in the big games

  20. Dan marino, TOM brady, everyone you mentioned

  21. Joe Montana

  22. John Elway soon to be Tom Brady

  23. I agree with the Bills guy, Jim Kelly although no Super Bowls still led the Bills to 4 AFC titles and showed his resilience and tactics with the no huddle offense.  Marino never won a Super Bowl either, Kelly is abou the same level as him in his prime.  The rest of your list seems reasonable tho, Peyton Manning the best in my mind of this decade no doubt

  24. Marino!

  25. I think they all are great quarterbacks, but you have to and in Frank Tarkenton from the Minnesota Vikings.Fran Tarkenton  play for the Viking from 1961-1966 and then 1972-1978. He also played for the New York Giants from 1967-1971. He played in 177 games threw for 33,098 yards, 239 TD, carried the ball 464 times for 2,548 yards and 22 TD. But my pick for all time greatest quarterback is Johnny Unites.

  26. Favre, but soon may be replaced...

  27. 1.  Tom Brady

    2.  Joe Montana

    3.  Peyton Manning

    4.  Otto Graham

    5.  John Elway

    6.  John Unitas

    7.  Dan Marino

    8.  Fran Tarkenton

    9.  Steve Young

    10.  Terry Bradshaw, Jim Plunkett

Farve, Moon are great players, but not in my top ten.

  28. I would have to say Favre but he better stay with the jets before he looses his fame.
