Who is the best all round billiards sports player ?

Question

i.e all rounder who can adapt and play well in different billiard sports (i.e. snooker, 9-ball, 8-ball, one pocket, straight pool etc.)

IMHO, the best all rounder is Efren Reyes.

Others like Ronnie O for eg. is great in snooker but is just hopeless in 8-ball.

Thanks to "Mickey" for saying what needed to be said.  He and I may differ on the whole Mosconi Vs. Reyes thing, but we've been through that many times already.  Let's keep it fresh.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

definitely Efren Reyes.  Willie Mosconi was good and I like him, but if the best of Mosconi was to be pitted against the best of Reyes, Reyes would win hands down by a distance.  (Reyes would probably blank Mosconi as Reyes blanked Siegel in the IPT).  Mosconi would not have seen the position play that Reyes brought to the sports, with Reyes, the control of the ball is like there is a magnet controlling the ball -- very precise position play, and the best all around player, he can win 8-ball, 9-ball, pocket billiards, any snooker player; he takes impossible shots many many times -- you should have seen his game against Strickland  (simply the best shot [combination of shots] ever taken in pool history), his skill level is simply unbelievable.

of all time would be willy mosconni not sure of spelling... of modern times ... effrin is good but dont leave out the trick shooters and im not too sure that the lady king blond bommer  wouldnt give effrin a run eather... you know her as the dutchess of doom lol..

Come on "pool players" lets ask some new questions about strategy......position play......equipment.....aiming......I don't know just something besides the "generic' everyone asks....who is the best player".....get off that and lets ask some good questions where we might actually learn something new.........for the record.............the answer to your "best" player is Efren Reyes

no way, thorsten hohmann is so much better than efren.  Efren's been around the block for so long of course he's got a lot of titles under his belt.  Thorsten is relatively new, and he just won the IPT.  He was the world straight pool champion too and some others that I forget.
