At the moment its got to be Kobe. He is so fast, strong and is the easily the best offensive player on the planet, as well as being on the NBA All-Defense team. He is also MVP, so that's got to count for something.

Also, he is NOT a selfish player. If all the haters would actually watch him play a few games they would realise that.

In a few years Lebron will be the best player in the world but until now, Kobe rules.

If you're asking who's the best player in the world of all time, then hands down it's MICHAEL JORDAN.

But if you're asking who's the best basketball player in the world right now, then sorry dude, but I have to go with KOBE BRYANT.

Now, I'm not a fan of Kobe, especially before the just concluded NBA season. I even rooted for the Celtics (which I never even was a fan of) during the championship, but only because of Kevin Garnet.

The obvious reason is Kobe can do anything. He can dismantle the defense inside and outside. He ahs shown that he can carry his team without scoring so much. And the level of maturity he has shown during this latest season cements it. Right now, LeBron isn't at that stage yet.

One more thing, between Kobe and LeBron, Kobe is dubbed as the reason Team USA will redeem itself.

Just so to make it clear, I like LeBron just as you do. But Kobe has got to be the best right now.
