Billiards , I'd have to go with Willie Hoppe. He had the most unorthodox stroke you ever saw. He pretty much shot with a sidearm stroke, kinda like a guy that pitches a baseball from the side instead of over the top. It broke just about every unwritten rule of a good stroke , but it sure worked for him. Several world championships would be the proof.

Pocket pool , I really liked Willie mosconi. There may have been better players back then and today, but let's don't open that can of worms again. What I liked most about Willie was that he took his game very seriously and still had a good time.He didn't run his mouth a lot like a lot of the players did and still do, but he could of backed it up if he did. Several world championships back when straight pool was the game ( not much luck involved there) would be the proof.
