Those 2 guys are the best in each league, but who is right after them? there certainly plenty of good choices:

AL- pierzynski, navarro, kurt suzuki

NL- soto, martin, yadier or bengie molina

  1. AL- pierzynski

NL- martin is good, but how can you go against Yadi?

  2. AL:Pierzynski

    NL:Martin

  3. Navarro and Yadi, especially now that his abt is comign around. No one plays better D at catcher than Yadi

  4. Russel Martin by far

  5. In NL, It has to Russell Martin.

    This guy is absolutely fearless.

If Martin hadn't been replaced by McCann in the fifteenth inning of the 2008 All-Star Game, the game might still be going.

Martin would have tagged out that runner that carried in the winning run right through McCann. What a wimp.

In AL. It has to be Dioner Navarro.

Navarro is the guy that got beat out by Russell Martin for the Dodger starting catcher position.

Dioner is doing a great job for the Rays, but is still relatively unrecognized. Must not play in NY, Boston, or LA.

  6. AL - Pierzynski

    NL - Yadi Molina

  7. NL - russ martin for sure

AL - you ever heard of a 14 time gold glover called Pudge Rodriguez? still the best

  8. nl= molina and martin

    al= navarro

  9. I agree with Joel.

    Pierzynski and Yadier Molina.

  10. pierzynski

soto, he is 20 times better than mccann

  11. Best is such a broad term and you know you are going to get people chewing you out for that

    If I had to say

NL is Soto (great rookie numbers, controlling one of the best pitching staffs in baseball as a rookie)

AL would be Navarro (not enough plate appearanced yet to lead ML in certain stats but once he does he will own every category almost, plus he has been a solid leader for the Rays triumphant season)

  12. All of those AL catchers suck. Kurt Suzuki what?? Pierzynski bad navarro ok. I think Kenjii Johjama for the AL

    Yadier Molina for the NL

  13. I would still take Victor Martinez first over any catcher but Mauer is right there and Martin is good.

  14. Soto is a beast, both offensively and defensively

  15. Russel Martin or Ryan Doumit(who nobody hears about unless your in Pittsburgh)

    AL-Navarro

  16. B. and J. Molina. Jose has lately shown improvement in his batting, and he has the highest percentage of throwing out runners in the majors. Bengie is just awesome to begin with

  17. i say AL Jorge Posada

    NL Ramon Castro

  18. Pudge and Rusell Martin

  19. Russel Martin or Soto in the NL.

In the AL, even though he doesn't have a HR and has been injured, gotta love Victor Martinez
