A quick bio, from wikipedia
Giuseppe Franco started his illustrious career with the Calgary Flames. In his first season there he went a remarkable 68-9-5. The 68 wins in a season set a record for the Flames franchise. He brought the likes of Saku Koivu, Mike Modano, Brendan Shanahan, Alexi Kovalev, and others to Calgary. Though the regular season went great the Flames would not win the Stanley Cup. They went 11-6 in the playoffs falling short. Giuseppe France would win the Jack Adams award due to his great season, but this was not enough to keep his job. The people in the front office thought Ken Hitchcock could do a better job and Mr.Franco was fired. After being mistreated by the Calgary Flames organization, Giuseppe went on to coach the Toronto Maple Leafs for 3 seasons. The first year in Toronto, the Maple Leafs just missed the playoffs. But in the off-season Mr.Franco brought in the great Martin Broduer to Toronto. The Maple Leafs would come 2 wins short of winning the Stanley Cup. The third and final year in Toronto the Maple Leafs were able to make it to the second round but faltered. Mr.Franco Felt it was best for him to leave the organization, Giuseppe Franco’s record in Toronto was 132-93-21 and 19-17 in the playoffs. Giuseppe felt it was best for him to go back to the western conference, and there he took the wheel of the Colorado Avalanche. He would make Colorado into a force that was greater than any Soviet Union team. Giuseppe brought back Peter Forsberg, Adam Foote, and Rob Blake. He brought in Sidney Crosby, Mats Sundin, Alexi Kovalev, Keith Ballard and others. In his first year with Colorado the Av’s would go a unfathomable 79-2-1 and won the Stanley Cup. Mr.Franco would go on to win 4 more Stanley Cups with the Av’s. Beating the Pittsburg Penguins in 3 of the cup finals and beating the Rangers and Thrashers in the other 2. Giuseppe Franco’s record in Colorado for the 5 seasons there was 308-77-25 and 80-21 in the playoffs, winning 5 Stanley Cups. Mr.Franco decided to leave Colorado after his fifth season, looking for a new challenge. He then went to the Boston Bruins and instantly turned that team into a champion. They brought in the likes of Vincent Lecavalier, Brian Rolston, Chris Pronger, Mats Sundin, and Dominik Hasek and went 51-29-2 in his first season in Bean Town and 16-8 in the cup finals, winning the Stanley Cup. The second season was no different the Bruins went 43-32-7 while going 16-8 in the playoffs to win yet another Stanley Cup. We will see if Giuseppe can make it three in a row as he will coach the Bruins this up coming year. The 43 year old coach seems to have all the records coming to him.
As off now he is 602-240-60 in the regular season and 142-60 in the playoffs with 7 strait Stanley Cups. He also has 2 Jack Adams Awards. The sky is truly the limit with this guy.
