"Best" all depends on what results you want.  For some people the Best is the one that drags out the process a lot and ends up costing the spouse loads of time and aggravation until they buckle and sign marital settlement agreement that leans your way.  Unfortunately that might cost you $30k+ and won't work too well if your spouse is doing the same thing.

"Best" for other people is a lawyer that specializes in mediation where the couple can work it out quickly and cheaply.  Start going through the Yellow pages and try talking to a few lawyers to figure out what their philosophys are.  Beware if you sign a "retainer" and give them money to start your case, the total cost will likely be MUCH greater than your initial deposit.
