Vince Carter has the knees of a 50 year old. He's a shadow of his former self so he's out. Haven't seen anything spectacular from Kobe in years other than his run-of-the-mill 360's with zero flair. LeBron is the modern Dominique Wilkins with his vert and power...

I'd have to say LeBron is the best game dunker. His dunks almost nightly make highlight reels and he's posterized Rasheed Wallace, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett. As a small forward, thats pretty special. As for dunk contests, LeBron has never been in one in the NBA but in McDonalds High School Challenge he pulled off some special stuff. Kobe hasn't been in a dunk contest in 7-8 years.

Bottom line is there are plenty of great dunkers in the NBA. Some of the best are riding the benches and never play (Gerald Green) or are too important to thier teams to risk injury in a contest (LeBron, McGrady) Personally, I like Gerald Green for his mix of hang time and power. He's a great dunker.

Also, keep an eye out on the first round pick for the Bucks, Joe Alexander. That white boy dunked from behind the foul line at West Virginia in practice and with a slight toe on the line during midnight madness in front of a crowd.

vc, j rich, josh smith, iggy, lebron even though we havent seen anything special from him, but his size and strength along with his 43 inch vertical probably would make him one of the best right now.

Its gotta be between Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant and Jason Richardson in my opinion.  Ill give Vince the edge amongst the three.  All three can jump out of the building.  Their hang time is just wicked.

i think it depends on the circumstances. lebron can dunk on anyone, pretty much at any given moment, if he wants it. i think kobe has the best style, though. lebron is probably the best all around, gotta like his ferocity.

dwight howard is a freak of nature, but he rarely does good dunks in game time situations.

vince carter hands down, this man brought back the dunk competiton in 2000 and showed the world how much of a high flyer he really is in the 2000 olympics when he dunked on that 7 footer

Gerald Green was amazing but he's been in and out of the NBA for a year. Also LeBron can fly like Mike and can do just about anything even though I don't like him I have to say LeBron.
