All the best females won atleast one Grand Slam. For a long time it looked like Mauresmo may have been the best not to but now i'd say maybe Elena Demientieva or Patty Sneiyder

Edit:People saying Jelena Jankovic etc-That is nonsense! She is 23 and is still playing with a chance of winning one! Questions like this are normally reguarding players who won't win one!!! I say Elena Demientieva because don't see her winning one now.

I would say Elena Dementieva is the best player on the tour right now to have never win a Grand Slam title.

Jelena Jankovic is still very young and is currently playing at the top level. She could even be the new number one at the end of the week. You have to believe that she will win a Slam pretty soon. However I don't think that she has been around long enough to say that her chances of winning a Slam are completely over.

Everyone thought that Kim Clijsters would have won a Grand Slam long before she finally did win the US Open, and during the time when she did not win, people were saying that she probably would never win one. I am positive that if it does not happen for Jelena this year, then she is going to get her Grand Slam title next year. But the point is: currently she is playing at the top level in her career where the possibility still exists that she will eventually win a Grand Slam title. Like Clijsters before her, it’s just a matter of when!!!

I hate to say this but I just don't think that Dementieva is ever going to win a Grand Slam. She has had a brilliant career though, especially when you consider that she was apart of an age in women's tennis where powerful serves and aggression dominated the style of play, and she no doubt will go down in history for one of the ugliest serves in women's tennis. The fact that she was able keep her ranking in the top 20 since 2000 and ended four straight years rank in the top 10, is a remarkable accomplishment and shows the incredible consistency she has had given this major weakness in her game.

My belief have always been that if Elena could have gotten her serve fixed right, she easily would have been the number one player in the world, and have about four to five majors to her name by now.

For a long time it looked like it would be Kim Clijsters without question, but she finally won the U.S. Open. Right now it looks like Jankovic, followed by Dementieva.

i think that as of know, its between jankovic and dementieva

both are awesome baseliners but just lack that extra power in their serve. elena made two finals but lost, while jankovic seems to choke everytime at grandslam semis. its a shame, but i do think jankovic does have a chance at winning a couple, i.e. french. dementieva sadly no

sorry i cant tell you for sure. because haven't seen all the best female tennis players of past.but if anyone was best then  i hope at least she won 1 grand slam.otherwise its a shame.

Definitely Jelena Jankovic.  She is the most consistent player on tour especially right now.  She just cant seem to push through in the latter stages of the slams and take home the trophy.

Nadia Petrova is often overlooked but I think she has the best game of the all the ladies without a slam. She volleys well, serves big, and is solid off both wings. She also covers the court fairly well. Even when she is not playing her best her game is tough to beat.

Jankovic is talented but she is extremely defensive and that can take its toll. Dementieva's serve is legendary for being weak but off the ground she is as good as anyone.

I think Petrova's game is the most solid and if she gets her head straight I believe she can win a slam. Mauresmo did it late in her career so maybe there is still hope for Petrova.
