I would go with Allison Fisher and the Black Widow as the two best in my opinion

  1. Allison Fisher is hands down the most impressive player I have ever seen play, male of female.  She may not be as good as the male pro counterpart, but has better mechanics then anyone I have ever seen and would probably give male pros a good run for their money.  Runner up goes to Core, you can't argue with what she has done either.  The WPBA is so much better to watch then any mens event.

  2. The Duchees Of Doom Allison Fisher

She's Not Human, There's a Terminator under that skin.

  3. When Allison Fisher is on her game,wh ich  is almost always she is a hard person to beat. As good as she is in 9 Ball she is twice as good at Snooker. Karen Corr has to be a topflight consideration although she hasn't been that successful this year(2007).

  4. Karen Corr from Ireland's record speaks for itself, next to her Allison fisher then "The Black Widow" herself, Jeannette Lee.

  5. Allison Fisher is probably the best overall because she's the most consistant with her game.  But on the other hand, I've seen the Black Window beat Allison Fisher.  So even the best can be beaten on any given day of the week.

  6. Best female player i ever saw has to be Jean Balukas. She not only competed with the guys she beat most of them at one time or another. She played in several open tournaments and either won or finished high in almost all of them. I had the honor of sitting next to her at a wpba tourney a couple of years ago and i asked her if she ever played against Allison or Karen Corr. She said that they had been to her pool hall out on the east coast a couple of times and they had played a little , just for fun , but she wouldn't tell me who won. Jean used to play on the ladies tour but quit after some kind of controversy. I agree that Allison Fisher , Jeanette Lee and a lot of the ladies on the wpba tour are great players but for me I'd have to say that Jean just edges them out. I'll probably get in trouble for saying this but she just plays more like a man. For some of the younger players who have never heard of Jean Balukas i'd say just google her name and check it out.
